Going through Rebirth
We are living in the hearts
of our parents and grandparents
Feeling the rhythm of their souls
gifting us every moment
We are learning to live again
with the guidance of their beings
We are going through rebirth
We are learning how the world
looks through their eyes
We see door knobs tilting wide
open to invite us into
their love-loaded hearts
Our family’s love is
pouring over us
Our family’s light is
shining through us
We got so attached
to one another that now
we are inseparable forever
In our world we see them as the
royalty of the universe
Wrapping their safety nets
around our joy and wellness
Role models of our lives
Influencing us on our divine paths
Our mischief drives them nuts
on days we lose our minds
We don’t see them muse over it much
before they are back on their feet
to caress our spirits all over again
More time for us now that our
parents and grandparents are not
sharing their time
between worlds that don’t meet
Their non-aligned goals are long gone
into the horizon of nothing
In its space we poured ourselves
to fill their empty lives
with the joy of our
wholesome worldly writings
